The Pepper Patch

In this project a landowner wanted a sizeable vegetable garden tilled but had a shady property and wasn't sure of the best spot.  We took a look at all the optiions and chose a 50X100 spot in the sunniest and most level area of the yard.  We cut the grass as short as possible with a hand mower and then tilled the area initially in early spring as soon as the soil was workable.

About ten days later we came back to the property to finish the bed.  The landowner had several yards of compost delivered so we spread this across the garden with our mulch scoop and then tilled it all in.  The result was a beautiful garden bed ready to be planted into.

We came back one more time to help set up an electric fence.  This was an easy task but we were curious to see how quickly it went up so we offered to be an extra set of hands.

We cstopped by one more time to check on everything and the garden seemed like it was doing well.  Although everything that was planted did well, the peppers did the best!
